Trip Details:

  1. Make your way from Reykjavik or another starting point to Husafell at your own convenience.
  2. During the winter season, it's advisable to take the route via road 1 towards Borgarnes and then use roads 50 and 518 to reach Húsafell.
  3. Specially customized glacier vehicles will transport you to and from the ice tunnels, with approximately 30 minutes each way in summer and 75 minutes each way in winter.
  4. Experience a guided tour of the ice tunnels, which typically lasts around an hour.
  5. The total duration of the tour is approximately 4 hours starting from Húsafell.

Please note that the tour's duration may be extended beyond the scheduled time due to glacier conditions.

Required: Warm attire – Remember, it's a glacier, even in summer!

Suggested clothing and gear:

  • Waterproof footwear and snug socks are essential; cold toes can dampen the enjoyment!
  • Dress in base and mid-layer garments for added warmth.
  • Equip yourself with a waterproof, insulated coat.
